The Information of John Kirke< no role > of the Hamlet of Poplar and Black well
in the said County Cook Taken this eighth day of December 1787 Before
Us John Staples< no role > and Peter Grune< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
in and for the said County who being on his Oath saith that on Wednesday
was a Week he was Robbed of two liner Shirts one Pair of Mankeen Breeches one
Pair of Silver Shoe B [..] two pair of Cotton Stockings and one Muslin Hand kerchief
and on Thursday was a Week he was Robbed of One Sarge Copper and one Hatchet
and that the Cotton Stocking he Received from his Wife are his property and was
Stolen from him as aforesaid further Saith that the person present who says his Name
in Francis Beresford< no role > Lodged with Informant and is the person he verily believes that
Robbed him of the things above mentioned

Daniel Ready< no role > a lodger at Mr. Kirke on his Oath Says one day last Week
he found the Cotton Stockings produced in the Chest of Francis Bernsford< no role > further
Saith that said Beresford Slept with this Informant in the House of the said John Kirke< no role > that on Wednesday Night
was a Week he went to Bed by himself that during the Night he waked and found
said Beresford in Bed who get up early on Thursday Morning following and did
not return to his Lodgings any more
