Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Elizabeth
Thomas< no role >
says, that last Night about Eight o' Clock as she this
Informant was sitting in the Parlour adjoining her said Masters
Shop she perceived the Door open which had been shut by this
Informant a few Minutes before, That looking about she
observed a Person now present who calls himself Charles Hewlings< no role >
with the Till now produced belonging to this Informants said
Master Shop in his hand - That coming forwards he immediately
ran away; that she followed him crying out "Stop Thief"-
and further saith, that some time before the said Till was
taken away, she looked at the same, and is very sure that
Ten Shillings in Money and upwards were in said Till
before the same was so Stolen - The said Jonathan White< no role >
says that at this time hearing a Cry of "Stop Thief" he pursued
the said Charles Hewlings< no role >
for some Distance; That some person
(whom he doth not know) hipped him up, at which time he laid
hold of him and secured him - The said Samuel Orton< no role >
says that
he picked up the said Till near his Window which is near said

House and afterwards picked up ten Shillings
in Silver and two Shillings and Seven pence in "half pence from off the
Ground
