Who upon their Oaths severally say and first this Informant
Mary Humphreys< no role >
for herself Saith That she is a
House keeper
and Carry so the Trade or Business of a Baker
in Bain brigg Street
in the Parish of Saint Giles in the fields
That about the hour of 2. o Clock yesterday morning being then
in Bed She was very much Alarmed by the Noise of the
Watchman's Rattles and otherwise which Caused her to get
up and upon her coming into the Shop She saw the Watchman
and her Servants holding Two Men who had broken into
her said Dwelling House by means of Breaking the Flap
of the Bakehouse and getting through the Bake house into the
Shop That when She went to Bed She left Two Shillings
and Two pence half penny on the Table in the Parlour
which was taken away but whether it was taken away
by the said Two Men she cannot say Neither can she swear
to the Identity of the said Two Men

Saith That he is a Servant
or Journeyman
to the said

That about the hour of 10. o Clock on
Saturday night last the Evening preceding the above Burglary
he this Informant made the Bakehouse Flap Widow
quite fast with a padlock and went to bed That about
the hour of 2. o Clock (or half past) he and his fellow servant
were awakened by the Watchman who said the Bake house
Window had been broken open That they immediately got
up and let the Watchman into the Shop at the Street door
and upon looking round the Shop saw Two Men concealed
between the Jacks of Flour and the Counter whom they
immediately Seized Secured and took to the Watch house
