that this Informant pursued as well as he could but
Soon lost him, and on his Return to the house the
other man was also gone, that this Informant has
been in Search of them ever since and this day met
with the said John Watson< no role > near the same Spot
in the five fields , and this Informant now Chargeth
the said John Watson< no role > with having feloniously taken
and carryed away the Sum of Three Pounds his
Property at the time and in the manner before Stated

John Courtney< no role > late of St. George Hanover Square Chelseain the said County Victualler being Duly Sworn upon
his Oath saith that he keeps a Public House known by the Sign of the Water Works
in Chelsea Road that he knows the Person now present who calls himself John
Watson
< no role > that he remembers about three weeks ago the said John Watson< no role > was at this
Informants House and in a Room up Stairs with other People one of whom
appeard to be a Chelsea Pensioner that this Informant heard one of the Personsthe said John
Watson

say that he was a Distiller and lived in old Bond Street And this Informt. further saith that after
some time he heard some Person or Persons come hastily down Stairs but who
they were he doth not know that the Person who Appeared to him as a Chelsea
Pensioner also went out of the House directly and in about of half an
hour Returned And asked this Informant if he knew the persons who had
been up Stairs with him which he said he did not when the Pensioner
told him they had got his Money
