Middlesex to wit

The Information of Elizabeth Castle< no role > and Thomas
Castle
< no role > taken before me this 15th. day of
February 1785 .

Who being on Oath say and first the said Elizabeth Castle< no role > says
that she lives in Long Lane Southwark That on a Thursday
Night in the Month of September last about 7 or 8 o'Clock in the
Evening, Joseph Church< no role > and May Cook< no role > , came to this Informant's
House together and brought with them two Bags containing
a great Quantity of Dollars, shortly after which her Husband
Thomas Castle< no role > came in And the said Thomas Castle< no role > says
that upon his coming home as aforesaid he found said Joseph
Church
< no role > and May Cook< no role > in his House with the two Bays contain-
ing Dollars which they counted in Informant's presence and
amounted as he believes to 2000. That they then put them
into said Bags again and carried them into Informants
Garden [..] where they buried than as he believesThat
in a Day or two afterwardsthe said Joseph Church< no role > and John
Miles
< no role > came in the Evening to this Informant's house and
said that they were come to take away the two Bays
which he Church and May Cook< no role > , had left, that they went
into this informant's Garden and shortly after returned with
the two Bags containing the Dollars, which they took away
but to where he cannot say. And the said Elizabeth Castle< no role >
further says that on the Tuesday following the Day on which they
brought and hid the Dollars as aforesaid she believes, the said
