Eleventh day of August 1784 before me one of is Majestys
Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex
.
This Informant Richard Bailey< no role >
on his Oath Saith that
he is a Lodger to Daniel Andrews< no role >
of Wheeler street
in the
Parish of Christ Church
Middlesex
and that on Monday the Ninth day of
August Instant about twelve O'Clock in the day, he went out
and left his room quite fastened both windows and door
And further Saith that he having only taken the said room
the same day the same being not Cleared for that purpose
he lodged in another room in the same house And further
Saith that this Morning between two and three O'Clock he
was alarmed by one Paul Bromley< no role >
a Neighbour, that
there were thieves in the house, this Informant then
being in his bed higher up in the said house, he got out
of his Bed and ran to [..] his own room unlocked the door
which he had before left locked, he went into his room
and immediately a light was brought to him by his
Landlords daughter, and when the light was brought
to him this Informant, he perceived that both his room
Windows were open, and on looking about his room
he at first did not perceive any person, but being
cautioned to look under his bed, he did so, and there saw

under his bed which he immediately Secured and
delivered him into the hands of Thomas Riches< no role >

And further Saith that a Bed Rug and a
Woollen Blanket now produced by Martha Andrews< no role >
is the property of this Informant and was stolen from
his said Room as before mentioned.
