Informations of Witnesses severally Taken
and Acknowledged the Eleventh day of
November in the Twenty fourth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third
King of Great Britain Etc At the House of
William Smith< no role > known by the Sign of the
Children in the Wood in the Parish of Saint
Mary Matfellon otherwise White Chapell
in the said County of Middlesex before
Thomas Phillips< no role > One of the Coroners of our
said Lord the King for the said County on view
of the Body of Thomas Johnson< no role > then and
there lyuing Dead as follow (to wit)

Thomas Cannon< no role > of Ratchiff highway Victualler
Saith that he is Master of the Hoop and Bunch
of Grapes near old Grasal Lane
That on the Fifth of November about Nine oClock
in the Evening he saw the Man who is now in
Prison (who he hath since heard is named Clarke)
Come into Informants Tap Roomreached over
a Table and struck the Deceased a Blow with
his Hand And then said Clarke went back
to the Door and Called the Deceased out
Whether the Blow was given with a flat hand
Informant cannot Tellor with doubled fist
That the Deceased was sitting with some
