And this Informant John Marshall< no role > for himself Saith
that being in Bed between nine and Ten OClock last night
he heard the Cry of Murder in the Street. That he got up and
went into the Alley at the back of his house into the Apartments
of Johnson whom he had known for some time That when
there Johnson was lying on the Bed having received a violent
Wound in the Belly so that Informant could plainly
p [..] his Caul. That he then Asked Johnson who the
Man was that had Wounded him in that manner
who told Informant that Clark was the person that
had done it and remarked that he could not have thought
he would have Served him so Especially as they had
been so long friends and drinking all day to gether Saith
that he soon after went into the Apartment of the said
Clark on the Floor of which he said the Knife now here
produced She king upright. Shall he went with the said
Johnson to the London Infirmary and when he was about
to leave him Johnson said to him God Bless you
Marshall I am much Obliged to you for what you
have done but I Shall never we you again for I am a
Dead Man. That Informant then asked him if he
had Granvilled or had any Words with Clarke to which
he Answered no. And further their Informant Saith not.
