Saith that he this Deponent was in December Session
last Bound over to give Evidence in Behalf of the Crown
against the above named Prisoner John Bowten< no role >
. at Justice
Hall
in the Old Bailey and this Deponent cond not at
the Session aforesaid attend to give Evidence pursuant
to the Recognizance forfeited, on Account of his Being
Suddenly taken ill of a Fever at the time of the Session and
this Deponent further saith that he did not stay away out
of Contempt of this Honorable Court nor through favour of
the Prisoner but merely thro the Cause aforesaid.
