Middlesex to wit


The Information of Richard Hunter< no role > one of the
Watchmen of the Parish of Saint Margaret
Westminster taken before me this 8th.. Day of
August 1782.

Who being on Oath says that about a Quarter of an hour
past Two o'Clock this Morning, he heard a Woman (standing
on the top of Saint Margaret's Church crying out "Watch
HunterWatchHunter"That he went towards her when
he perceived she was Mr.. Hollings head's Maid who lived
Near the said Church. That she told this Informant there
were Thieves in her Mistress's house and desired him to
go round to the door. That he ran round, and when he
came to Mrs.. Holling heads door he observed three Men
coming out of said House with each of them a Cutlass
in his hand. That this Informant made a blow with his
Staff at the first Man that came out which Man immediately
made a thrust at this Informant with his Cutlass and wound
-ed this Informant in the Right side of his Belly. That said
three Men then made a cross the Street, where James Harebottle< no role >
another Watchman attempted to secure them and whom (this Informant
believes) they also wounded. That in about five minutes,
a Person now present who calls himself James Messenger< no role >
returned back, opposite said Mrs. Hollings head's house when
this Informant recollecting him to be one of the said three
Men, laid hold of him by his Collar, asked said Messenger
