The Information of James Campbell< no role > of the Shakespear Tavern
Covent Garden and Thomas Shirley< no role > one of the Constables of the
Parish of St. Martins in the Fields takings on Oath before me this
2d. day of August 1782, First James Campbell< no role > for himself
Saith that on the 19th. of May the Prisoner Cornelius Calahan
Attended at this Deponents house to wit upon some Gentlemen
that Dind there that on the next day looking over the Spoons
five were Miling, [..] this Deponent made [..] Inquires best
could find nothing out untill the 22d of July Thomas Shirley< no role >
came to Inform this deponent there were Some Spoon found with his
name on them, and was desir'd to go to look at them, and find
that the Three Spoons now Produc'd was State out of this Deponent
house on Sunday the 19th. May last [..] this Deponents
Property,

Thomas Shirley< no role > for himself Saith that Captain Oglevy brought
the Prisoner Conelius Calahan< no role > to St. Martins Watch house
on Suspicion of Stealing some Shirts, that next, Morning Capt.
Ogilvy Inform'd him there was some broken Spoons in the
Prisoners Box with the name of James Campbell< no role > Shakespear
Covent Garden this deponent Immediately Went and one barching
the Box found the three Spoons now Produc'd and Inform'd
Mr. Campbell at the same who said they were his Property
