The Voluntary examination of William Mason< no role > , who
on his Oath, Saith, that on Saturday the second of this
Month in the evening, he went into his, necessary house, and
took his Silver watch out of his Pockett, and laid it in a little
Shelf in the said necessary, and after he had Done his occasions
came away, and forgot to put his watch in [..] Pockett again
and upon his return from the necessary went out with some
beer, he being a publican in the Parish of St. Margarett westminster
in a very short time after missed his watch and [..] that
die had left: it in his necessary, he Imediatly went to [..]
to look for it, and found it was gone upon his return [..] the necessary
enquired who had been their, and was told by his wife and others,
that a Soldier now present who goes by the name of John Walter< no role >
had been in the necessary and was the only person that had been there
since this examinant and had paid for a pint of beer, and went away
very Parcipitatily Leaving the greatest Part of the beer behind him
on the Following day the watch was brought to him by a woman
who acknowledged to this examinant it was delivered by the Prisonor
