Nunns in White chapel Hackney Coachman and Edward

this 16th. day of February 1782

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said John Ord< no role > says
that a Hair Trunk and a Carravan Trunk containing a Quantity of
Wearing Apparel this Informants property was put into a Hackney
Coach No. 259 at the Gate of the three Nunns at Aldgate about 5 oClock on Saturday the 9th instantThat the
said George Rome< no role > was the Coachman and drove this Informant
into Leadenhall Street in his way to Grays Inn That
a person now present who calls himself Solomon Levy< no role > then got
upon the Box instead of the said George Rome< no role > and drove this
Informant to James Street< no role > Bedford Row aforesaid, where he sat
him downAnd the said Richard Simpson< no role > says that when the
Coach came to James Street< no role > aforesaid the said Solomon Levy< no role > was
the DriverThat he, this Informant, took three little boxes out of
the inside of the Coach [..] paid him his Fare and he drove away
without saying any thing respecting any Trunk on Carravan Box
And the said George Rome< no role > says, that he employed the said Solomon
Levy
< no role > to drive his Coach with the said Mr. OrdThat the quitted
the Box of said Coach in Leadenhall Street at which time he
is very sure the said Trunk and Carravan Box was in the Boot
of the Coach and is also very sure that the same could not have
fallen out of the Boot in going to James Street< no role > aforesaid
and that he left the Care of the same to the said Solomon Levy< no role >
