found to his Astonishment that bath the Cabbin door and
the Lock of the Chest had been forcibly broke open and thirty
Guineas out of the Ane and thirty was feloniously taken
thereout and Carried away. but nothing Else was taken
thereout Saith that upon Enquiring at the Stairs at
Ratcliff Cross if any Person or Persons had been Off from
Thence to go on Board the Wells he learned from the other
Informant Abraham Hughes< no role > that he had been Employed
by Tingay and oneWilliam Thomas Leggitt< no role > . (now Present)
[..] them [..] Board the Quebec. The next Ship to the
Wells. that he took them into his Boat and they both
went on Board his [..] Quebec said Hughes waited
for Ten or fifteen Minutes and then brought them back.

Saith that suspecting from [..] his Last Circumstances
that said Tengay and Leggitt must have been the
Persons who committed the Robbery. The caused them both
to be apprehended when on Tingay being Searched there
was found upon him Eighteen Guineas one of which
he Positively Swears to have been Stolen as above set
forthSaith that on Examining said Leggitt, the
first time no proof was adduced of his having been Guilly
of the Robbery but some other suspicions having a [..]
soon after he was discharged he was [..] apprehended and upon Search
being made in his [..] Apartment there was found in a
Tobacco Box SixGuineas and which he verily believes
is part of the Thirty Guineas so Stolen as aforesaid
Lastly Saith that he is the more Induced to be believe
the said William Tingay< no role > and Thomas Leggitt< no role > were the
Persons who committed the said Robbery as there [..] were
not any persons whatever on Board the said Ship Wells
or the Quebeck at the time the robberis was Committed
except the said Tingay and Leggitt. and further
Saith not.

And this Informant Abraham Hughes< no role > for himself
Saith that between the hours of four and five OClock
in the Afternoon of the said second day of January he
carried the said Tingay and Leggitt in his Boat from
Ratcliff Cross Stairs on Board the Quebec. that he waited
at the Bow of the Quebec for about Ten Minutes or a
Quarter of an Hour when he Brought them both back and
