of September 1781
Who being on Oath say, and first the said Joseph Andrews< no role >
says that about 9 o Clock in the Evening of the 17th. of August last he
was robbed in Pancras Fields of a pair of Silver Shoe Buckles about
eight shillings in Money and two Knises by five footpads Says that
he is very sure a person now present who calls himself John Buckley< no role >
is one of the footpads that so robbed him as aforesaid and that the
knife now produced by the said William Weston< no role >
is one of the
knises of which he was robbed. And the said John Mawson< no role >
says that
he was in Company with the said Joseph Andrews< no role >
at the time and place
he was robbed as aforesaid and was himself robbed of a pair of Silver
shoe Buckles a silver stock Buckles a Stock, a Silk Hand kerchief
a Linen Handkerchief and about twenty shillings in Money by the
same five footpads that robbed the said Joseph Andrews< no role >
and that he
doth verily believe the said John Buckley< no role >
to be one of the Footpads
that robbed him and the said Joseph Andrews< no role >
as aforesaid.- And the
said William Weston< no role >
says that hearing the Cry of Stop Thief in the Road
near Pancras fields last Night he assisted in Apprehendinghimthe said
John Buckley< no role >
and on searching for him found in his Breeches the said
Knife now produced and sworn to try the said Joseph Andrews< no role >
