admitted on Evidence in his Majesty's
behalf against Thomas Valentine< no role >
and John Joseph Greavel< no role > touching
a Felony by them Committed in the
City of London taken before the two
of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith that last Friday Night
he was applied to by one Richard Trimble< no role > to Carry a Load
upon which this Informant went up to a Public House
the Sign of the Sugar leaves in Parkes Lane St
Giles is about Six oClock in the Evening where he saw
the person now present who tells himself Thomas
Valentine< no role > who told this Informant that he had got a
Red which he wanted to remove from his Lodging
upon this Informant asking him where he answered
Bishop gate Street he told him he would give him
Eighten pence for Carrying it this Informant then
went and Saddled his Jack Ass and came back to the
public House & Valentine was standing at the door
who bid him go on to Bishop gate Street & when he
came to the Royal Exchange the said Valentine overlook
him and they went together untill they came to the second
Turning beyond Houndsditch in Bishopgate Street and
bid him wait untill he came to this Informant and
about a Quarter of an hour the said Valentine came
together with a person now present who calls himself
John Joseph Greavel the Sd. Valentine had a Bed
& Bolsten wrapped up in a Blue Quilt [..] on
his Back and the said Green assisted this
Informant and Valentine in putting there upon the
Jack Ass when the Ass was loaded this Informant
by the Direction of Valentine drove the Ass towards
Tibert Lane and when he came to New gate Street
Valentine & Greavel joined this Informant they bid
him dr [..] oe to Tiles & Lane and they walked on before
