The Information of John Mayland< no role > of the
Parish of Saint Georges Middx Labourer
taken upon Oath before me John Curtis< no role > Esqr .
one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the said County the 24th. day of October
1775

Who saith that on the Eleventh day of October instant he this
Informant in Company with Charles Dorman< no role > went from
the Public Office at Bethnal Green with a Search Warrant
to search the Dwelling House of one Thomas Green< no role > This name instance is in set 3657. in Hare
Street in the Parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green which
said Warrant this Informant gave to a Head borough to Execute
thatuponwhen this Informant came to the said Thos. Greens
House he this Informant looked into the lower Appartment
between the Window Shutter, were this Informant observed the
Shadow of some people hut could not observe what they was
doing till he this informant went and looked through the Key
hole of the Street Door when he this Informant saw two Men
telling over some Money and Sounding it upon a Board, Saith
that he this Informant enquired it there was ere a Back door to
the said House, which he was infound there was that he this
Informant went down a little ally a door or two from the said
Greens house when he this Informt. got over some pales and over
a Brick wall which brought this Informt. to the Back door of
said House, when this Informant observed two Men Examining
of Money which Resembled Silver, that he this Informant was
then let in at the Back Door of the said Greens House, where he
this Informant found a Quantity of Base Mettal Resembling
Half Crown Peices Shillings and Sixpences, and also a Quantity
of Counterfeit Copper Moneys Resembling Half pence and a Bottle
with some aqua fortis it it together with at large flask and one
Small one with a Quantity of Scowering Paper Crusivals a Vice
a Parcell of Base Mettle and several files, that this Informt.
upon going into the Cellar of the said Greens House he found a
large iron Press and fly that upon Moving the same he found
several Counterfiet farthings which said things he this Informt.
brought to the Public office Us Bethnal Green aforesaid.
