The Information of David Prosser< no role >
[..] William Burke< no role > and Thomas Lyon< no role > taken before
Us two of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County
City and Liberty

Who severally being upon Oath say And
first this Informant David Prosser for
himself saith that he is a Lodger with Mr.
Mc Cartney at the Sign of the Drum in Newtoners
Lane in the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields
soon after Seven o'Clock this Morning
Patrick Murphy< no role > the Deceased & the other Informt
Wm. Burke came up together into this Informts.
Apartment and a Woman now present who
Calls herself Judith Whalin about three
Minutes afterwards followed them into the said
Apartment & she sat down on a Chair in the
said Room close to this Informt. Work Bench
who is a Shoemaker & sayd that she wanted
a Stitchmended in her Shoe which she pulled
off & took up the Knife now produced from off
this Informts. work Seat & was clearing her
Shoe with it this Informant had the Shoe
in order to mend it & the said Judith Whalin
Still kept the said knife in her handabove
this Informant had begun to do the Shoe

and more from the Seat in order to let this
Informt. [..] sit down to do the Shoe
and Immediately after he arose he heard the
Deceased Patrick Murphy< no role > say "David Prosser
I am Murdered Upon which he jumped from
his seat and saw the said Judith Whalin< no role >
with the said Knife bloody in her hand this
Infomt. Immediately Ran to the Deceased who
was about four Yard from him the Deceased
Opened his Waistcoat shewed a large Wound
near she pit of his Stomach from which the
Blood flowed very fast and he Declared to this
Informant before he opened his Waistcoat that
he was a Dead Man and that the said [..]
