Informt. Jas. Watling< no role > & searched his Pockets upon which
the said James Watling< no role > got away from them
he did not give him it they would cut his Eyes [..]
then they both returned to this Informant
Knocked him down & Swore they would but
his Eyes out if he did not deliver the Money
they searched his Pocket but holding the money
fast in his hands & they did not find it but
they took his Half and both Sun away he
pursued them but was not able to overtake
them so returned to his Master & related
what had happened
And this Informant James Watling< no role >
for himself saith that last Night about
Eight o Clock he was sent by the other
Informt. John Cordy< no role > . along with the other
Informant James Alders< no role > to enquire after
the owner of same Goods which had been Offered
by two persons One of whom he verily believes
is the person now present who calls himself
John Phillips< no role > als. Gilbertwhen they came into
Windmill Street the least of the two persons
Attacked the other Informt. James Alders< no role >
whilst the other which is the said John Phillips< no role >
als. Gilbert was riffling this Informants
Pockets for the Money & Sword that he had got it
[..] this Informant telling him that other
Informt. [..] Jas. Alders had
get the Money.. he then got away from him
And this Informant Thomas Layton< no role > for
himself saith that about Eight o'Clock this
Morning the person now present who calls
himself John Phillips< no role > als Gilbert came to
his Shop & offered the White Cotton Counterpane
now produced to Pawn with him. but this
Informt. suspecting it had been Stolen Stopped
him & the Counterpane
