The Information of John [..]
Taken before me this 9th.. day of Janry 1764

Who being on Oath says that he in Company
with two Persons now present who call themselves
James Nokes< no role > and William Brown< no role > Robbed the
House of Mr. Robert Cook< no role > in Bedford Row of the
following wearing Apparell vizt. one brown Camblet
Mans Coat, one brown Cloth Coat, brown Camblet
Breeches suitable to the Camblet Coat, one pair
of Breeches suitable to the brown Cloth Coat, which
Coat was mended under the Arms, two Womens'
Gown vizt. one Linen the other Shaded Silk & Staff
a Quantity of Caps, Handkerchiefs, and thre [..] Cases
of Lancets , says that said Nokes brought of the Cases
and Handkerchiefs, and that said Nokes brought to
him a Person now present who calls himself
Hyman Levy< no role > ) who bought some of the above Apparell
for which he agreed to give two Guineas, says that
after the above Robbery he and said Brown broke open
the House of Sr. Asked and Stole thereout six Suite
of Cloaths vizt. three black, one black Velvet one
white Cloth and one blue Coat and Waistcoat with
Gold Lace all which were Sold in the presence of said
Lee and brown for two Guineas and that another
Jew was present who went to fetch the Money to pay
for them
