Justices of the Peace
for the said County
The said Examinant being charged before me by Thomas
Palmer< no role >
of the Parish of St. Mary Islington
in the County
Aforesaid Grocer
of Feloniously and Privately stealing taking
and carrying away from out of [..] the Money Drawer in
his Shop, a small Wooden Box in which was contained three
Guineas and an half in Gold the Property of the said Thomas
Palmer< no role >
. He the said Examinant William Pauldock< no role >
did upon
Examination by me this Day Confess that on Monday last the
26th. inst. in the Eveninghe went to the Shop of the aforesaid
Mr. Palmer of an Errand, who being in a Room behind the Shop.
and this Examinant perceiving the Till or Money Drawer open
Reach'd over the Counter & Feloniously took out of the same a little
Box in which was Two Guineas & a half and no more, wch Money this
Examinant concealed in a Hollow Tree
near the Cross Street
in the
Parish aforesaid, and wch Money upon this Examinants
Confession as aforesaid was upon immediate search found hid in
the said Hollow Tree. And further saith not.
