besides Receiving his own Share, received the Share of the aforesaid Plumbers
Servant, who was present at Taking the said Lead as aforesaid, says that the
Night when the said Lead was Taken from the said Church, he this Informt.
and the said Guest mett at a House in the Butcher Row White Chapell
where the said Mason and if aforesaid Plumber Servt. came to them, says
that they got upon the said Church by a Ladder, says that the said Guest got
down the last by a Rope which they left behind them, says the aforesd.
Plumber Servt. made a Tool of a knife which was double in Order to
Cutt off the said Lead with case, but that the said Tool would not answer
the purpose, says that the said Lead was afterwards Cutt with a knife, says
that the said Guest Usually were green Muffettees, and Worsted gloves or
Mittings; And this Informt. farther says that he, the said Guest & Mason
some time before this went to Popler, that Guest and this Informant
went to the Sign of the White Horse in the Evening and [..] drinking
there till ten o'Clock, says the said Mason went to a Publick House below
not Chasing to be seen with the said Guest and this Informt. being known
in those parts, says they all three mett afterwards in the Church Yard at
Popler aforesaid & Guest and this Informt.. got upon the Church took away a
Quantity of Lead from thence and the said Mason Watched below, says
that they hid the said Lead in a Ditch [..]
[..] dight following Guest and this Informt. went with a Cart hired in Old
Street to fetch the said Lead away, and carried ittoin the Morning to Mrs.
Smith Plumber in Bishopgate Street aforesaid who bought the same
says that the Money for the said Lead was equally divided between
this Informt. the said Guest and Mason; Says that a little before Christmas
last the Person who keeps the Black Horse in Bartholonmew Clase
hired this Informt. and the said Guest to go down to Northampton and
bring up two Horses for him, says that Guest and this Informt. Walked down, that
this Informt. stayed at the white Swan near the said Town, says yt. about [..] in the
Evening yr. Sd. Guest and the Person who keeps the Clack Horse aforesaid, came to yr. white
Sworn & brought two Clack Horses with [..] ame white in their Faces, says that guest and this
Informt. then sets off for London upon the said Horses, & that they brought the said know
to the Fountain Inn, in or near Purple Lane, says he this Informt. Sold one of the said
Horses to one Mr. Kennell a Chandler in Old Street for Eight Pounds twelve Shillings
and six pence which Money he paid to a Servant of the Person who keeps the black
Horse in Bartholomew Close aforesaid
