good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being, then and there duly sworn
and charged, to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said

came to h is Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said

not being of Sound mind memory and understanding but Lunatic and distracted on the fourth day of
April in the Year aforesaid one end of a Certain piece of a small hempen Cord of the Value of
one half penny unto a Step of a Certain Stair Case in the Dwelling House of one David Bird Situate in the
Parish and County aforesaid and the other end thereof about his own Neck did fix, tie and fasten and
therewith the Hempen Cord aforesaid did then and there hand Suffocate and Strangle himself of which
said Hanging Suffocating and Strangling he the said

die, And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say that the said

aforesaid did Kill himself
