An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that is to say at
the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the Ward of Farringdon without in London aforesaid on the twenty second day
of July in the thirtieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain
France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith Etc. before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said
Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of Joseph George< no role > now here lying
dead by the Oath of John Griffin< no role > William Hansard< no role > John Ballard< no role > [..] James Vaughan< no role > Thomas
Slapp John Jones< no role > Thomas Chessell Thomas Reves< no role > John Lewis< no role > William Ward< no role > Charles Vores John Spateman< no role >
John Purnell< no role > and William Tyler< no role > good and lawful men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly
chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Joseph
George
< no role > came to his death say upon their oath that a certain person whose name to the Jurors aforesaid is yet
unknown on the [..] ninth day of July in the year aforesaid at the Parish of Saint Bridget otherwise
Bride in the Ward aforesaid in London aforesaid being driving a certain Waggon drawn by horses along
and through a certain open and Public Street and Kings Common Highway there called Fleet market and the
said Joseph George< no role > being then and there going and passing along and through the said open and public
Street and Kings common Highway and near unto the said Waggon it so happened that the said Joseph
George did then and there accidentally casually and by misfortune fall to and against the Ground
there And that the [..] Leader of what of the said Waggon did then and there accidentally casually and by
misfortune pass over the Body of him the said Joseph George< no role > By means whereof he the said Joseph George< no role >
did then and there receive one mortal wound and contusion in and upon the Breast of him the said Joseph
George Of which said Mortal wound and contusion he the said Joseph George< no role > from the said ninth day of
July in the year aforesaid until theday of July in the year aforesaid as well at the said Parish
of Saint Bridget otherwise Bride in the Ward aforesaid in London aforesaidandas also at the said Parish
of Saint Andrew Holborn in the Ward aforesaid in London aforesaid did languish and Languishing did live On which
saidday of July in the year aforesaid in the parish last aforesaidin the Ward aforesaid
in London aforesaid did die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say that the said Joseph George< no role > in
manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by misfortune was accidentally killed And that the mid Leader
off Wheel of the said Waggon was moving to the Death of the said Joseph George< no role > and is of the value of five
shillings but whose property and in whose possession the said Leader off Wheel is to the Jurors aforesaid is
as yet unknown In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said John Griffin< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition
set their hands and seals the day year and place first and place first above written
