Informations of Witnesses taken at the Parish
of Saint Andrew by the Wardrobe in the ward of
Castle baynard in London aforesaid on the 6th
day of November 1788 on view of the Body of James
Worthington

Joseph Salmon< no role > of Montague Close the Parish of Saint
Saviour in the Borough of Southwork Coal Porter maketh
Oath and saith that and Tuesday Sennight abot: two OClock
[..] being then at Work on board a Lighter at St: Andrew's
Wharf he heard an alarm that a Boy had fallen over board
and on looking over the side of the said Lighter he saw
three Boys in a small Skiff, or Boat and [..]
[..] in the Water near said Boat or Skiff saw a
Hat and the hands of same person who he supposed to
be His hands of the said Boy who had so fallen over board
Thataboutbetween 12 & 2 at Noon on Tuesday last being
then set Work on [..] said Wharf-and going from the
said Wharf to one of the Coal Lighters moored near said
Wharf he observed something like Cloth in the Mud-that
Dept: got a Boot hook and hooked in the Mud where the
said Cloth lay and hooked up the [..] Arm of the deced-That
he then got the Body up out of the Mud-and left
the Body in one of the Lighters laying, off said Wharf
