To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Leonard ,
Shoreditch , in the County of Middlesex , and to the Churchwardens and Over-
seers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Dionis Back church

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made to Us, two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace, in and for the County of Middlesex (one whereof
being of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , That Mary Merrell< no role >
Wife of Richard Merrell< no role > (now at Sea) and her-
two Children lawful Issue namely Sarah aged< no role >
two Years and upwards and Richard John < no role > aged
One Month have come to Inhabit in the Parish
of Saint Leonard Shoreditch not having gained
any legal Settlement their And are
become chargeable to the same: We the said Justices, upon Examination of
the Premises upon Oath and other Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be
true, and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said.
Mary Merrell< no role > and two Children is in the
Parish of Saint Dionis Backchurch
London aforesaid.

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name to require you the Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Leonard ,
Shoreditch , Middlesex , on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said.
Mary Merrell< no role > and her said two
Children
from and out of your said Parish of St. Leonard , unto the said Parish of
St. Dionis

and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there,
or to some or to one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
hereof, who are hereby required to receive and provide for them according
to Law.

Given under our Hands and Seals, this 12th. Day of Octor.
