To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Giles without Gipplegate London and also to
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. Dionis Backchurch London

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose
hands and seals are hereunto Sett two of his Majties Justices of
the Peace for the City of London (Quord Unus) by the
Chruchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St Gile without Gipplegate London that Edward Browne< no role > with
Katherine< no role > his wife and their two children Vizt Eleanor< no role > aged five years
and Thomas< no role > aged six months ageLately come into the
said Parish endeavouring to Settle there contrary to Law and
unless timely prevented are likely to become chargeable
thereunto which We do adjudge to be true. and For as much
as it appeareth unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of
the said Edward Brown< no role > that he lived as a Covenant yearly Servant
for the Space of two Years in the Parish of St. Dionis Backchurch
London with Madam There Eight pounds P Anune Hages
and no other legal settlement
elsewhere appearing unto us since. We do also adjudge the
said parish of St. Dionis Backchurch to be the Place of their last
legal Settlement

These are therefore in his Majesty's name to will & require,
you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St. Giles Gipplegate - forthwith to remove and convey
the said Edward Browne< no role > with Katherine< no role > his wife and their tow Children
from out of your said Parish unto the said Parish of St. Dionis
Backchurchand them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor there Some or one of them who are
hereby required to receive and provide for them according to
Law. Given under our hands and seals this 3d - day of
December Anns Dui 1724 .
