Employment
of Poor
The Minutes of the last Vestry of the 12th. day of April being
read and confirmed Mr. Church Warden Walton acquainted
the Gentlemen present that this Vestry was held pursuant
to public notice given in the Church to take into Considera-
-tion a Plan for Employing the Poor of this Parish so as
to render them more useful, and with a view to reduce
the Expences attending them to the Parish.
Mr. Church Warden Walton then produced the Proposals
of Willm. Mc. Kensie< no role >
for the Provision and employment of
the Poor which he mentioned to have received in his
Official capacity, and desired to lay it before the Vestry.
The said Proposals and Bill of Fare annexed were read
Mr.Cooper Stated that having lately Served the Office of
Church Warden, he did not think the Poor in the Workhouse
were properly employ'd. And Mr. Layton declared himself
