Subscription
for Defence
of the Country}

This Vestry was held pursuant to public notice given
in the Church for the purpose of promoting a voluntary
Contribution of the Inhabitants for the Defence of the
County against the designs of our Enemies.

And Mr. Thomas Ayres< no role > being voted into the Chair
It was Resolved That a Subscription be opened
for the purpose of affording the Inhabitants an oppertunity
to contribute towards the general Subscription now receiving
at the Bank pursuant to an act of Parliament for Granting
in Aid to This Majesty, under the Sanction of which Those
