Lease upon the former Terms be accepted, It past in the
Negative.

Mr. Morden was then called in and desired to make
his Proposal, when having observed that it would take
Fifty shillings P Acre to put the close in heart, he offer'd
the yearly Rent of Eleven Pounds for the premises, and to
put the House and Land in good Repair and condition.
And being desired to withdraw, the Question was put
whether the said Proposal of Mr. Morden be Accepted. It
past in the Negative.

Then John Lord< no role > and his Mother were called in again
and offered to give Eleven Pounds a year for the Premises
clear of all deductions, and to put the House in Repair.
They were Ordered to withdraw.

After some debate Mr. Morden was called in again and
being asked, whether he was willing to take the Close
separate from the House, and upon what Terms, offered to
take the Close at the yearly Rent Ten Pounds. And
being again desired to withdraw, John Lord< no role > and his
Mother were sent for in, and ask'd if they were willing to
take the House and Homestead separate from the Close
and upon what Terms. They only proposed Forty shillings
a year, to repair the Premises. And some of the Gentlemen
desiring them to consider of it, and mend their Proposal
the Vestry broke up without coming to any Resolution
concerning the same.

Church Rate

At a Public Vestry held for this Parish on Tuesday the
First day of August 1775 in the Vestry Room of the said
Parish pursuant to public notice given in the Church for that
purpose It is agreed by the Parishioners and Inhabitants
present that a Rate or assessment be made upon the
Parishioners Inhabitants and other Occupiers of Houses
Lands Tenements shops stalls Etc in the said Parish for the
necessary Repairs of the Church and other necessary Expences
and
