and pledged himself to the Gentlemen present that
if he should succeed at the Wardmote in his Election
for one of the Common
Council, he would not avail
himself of his Privilege, but would when it came to
his turn to serve the Offices of Constable and Inquest
man as next upon the Rota, provide an Eligible
Person to serve the Office of Constable in his stead,
and serve the Office of Inquest Man himself as was
frequently done in other Wards. The Question was
thereupon put on the said Nomination and Mr.
Maynard, Mr. Pope, Mr. Lem, and Mr. Tutet severally Order'd
to be returned to the Wardmote for Common Council
Men for the year ensuing.
Then Mr. Church Warden Woodmass adjourn'd
the Meeting till another Summons should be issued.

Pounds were delivered in and read And upon holding
up of hands, Mr. Church Warden Woodmass declared
It was Carried in favor of the Petition

to be admitted to the said Gift. and she being sent for
the same was presented to her. The Residue of Mr.
Alderman Abdy's Gift being Fifty shillings together
with Fifty shillings Sacrament Money was distributed
