Forenoon and to close the Same at two of the Clock
precisely the Same Day.

Ordered That this Vestry be Adjourned to Friday the
third Day of April Instant at ten of the Clock in the
Forenoon to take Such Ballot and the Same was
Adjourned accordingly.

Friday the 3d. Day of April 1752.

That previous to the Intended
Ballot Mr C. Warden Taylor
reced a Message from Mr.
Worgan that he had Declined
Standing & the Sesl . other
Candidates being called &
Previously acquainted that,
the order of Vestry of 27. July
1749 had been Confirmed
Mr. Gates, Mr. Hudson & Mr.
Scott Severally Declared they
would not comply with the sd.
order & thereupon declined
Standing

At a Vestry held this Day By Adjournment
Mr. Church Warden Taylor acquainted the Gentlemen
present That previous to the intended Ballot he had
received a Message from Mr. Worgan that he had Declined
Standing and the Several other Candidates being then
called in and Previously acquainted with that part
of the order of Vestry dated the 27th. July 1749 which
Directs That the Person who should be chosen Organist
should attend in Person Twice on every Sunday and other
Usual Festivals and to have no Deputy But in Case of
Sickness and that the Same had been confirmed by an
Order of Vestry made the 2d. Day of April instant.
Mr. Gates, Mr Hudson and Mr. Scott severally Declared
they could not Comply with the said Order and thereupon
Declined Standing.

Mr Church Warden Taylor
Proceeded to take the Ballot
& on Casting up the Number of
Votes It appeared they were
unanimous for Mr John Bennet< no role > .

Mr. John Bennet< no role > Declared
duly Elected organist for the
Year ensuing.

Then Mr. Church Warden Taylor Proceeded to take
the Ballot and Closed the Same at two of the Clock
Precisely and on Casting up the Number of Votes
It appeared they were Unanimous for Mr. John
Bennet Whereupon Mr. Church Warden Taylor
Declared Mr. John Bennet< no role > duly Elected Organist
of this Parish for the Year ensuing
