At a Vestry held 23 Augt. 1726

Bell

At this Vestry The Church Wardens Acquainted the
Severall Gentlemen that were Present that the Great Bell
was Crack't and that upon a Survey which had been lately
taken of the Bells It appeared That new Frames were
wanting to all the Bells in the Steeple and therefore he
submitted it to the judgement of the Gentlemen of the Vestry
whether they wod. not think it proper that the Great Bell shod.
be new Cast and that all the Bells shod. be new Framed the
charge of doing which would amount to £110 and upwards

Whereupon some Gentlemen that were present informed
the Vestry that they had had proposalls laid before them and had
taken an Estimate of the Difference of Exchangeing the present
Sett of Six Bells with the Old Frames & appurts into Eight New
Tuneable and Musicall Bells with Compleat New Frames and
all appurts whatsoever and that the Whole wod. not Exceed ye.
sume of £250 and upon full Consideration had of that matter

The Question was put by ye. Church Warden whether
the Present Sett of Six Bells with the Old Frames & Appurts Shod.
be Exchanged and Eight new Bells with Compleat New Frames
and all appurts be put up in their Room and upon putting the
same to the Vote it passed in the Affirmative Nemine Contradicent

And the Honour and Generosity of this Parish having been
fully Experienced in Subscripcons to ye. Organ It was thought
the most proper and Ready Way to raise the said Sume of £250.
by the Kind and Voluntary Contribucons of the Severall Gentm.
and persons who are Parishioners and Inhabitants of this
Parish and Therefore the Church Warden was desired wth.
Such Gentlemen as would be so kind as to Attend him to
waite upon the Severall Parishioners and Inhabitants of
this Parish with a Subscripcon Paper for the Purposed aforesd.

Whereas Complaint was made by severall Gentlemen of the
Parish that great Disturbances and disorders had been occasions
by severall footmen and Men Servants that belong to and come to this
Parish Church dureing the Time of Devine Service It was therefore
unanimously agreed and ordered by this Vestry that if any Disturbance
shod. be comitted or Noise made by such Men Servants Footmen or any
other Disorderly persons comeing to the sd. Church during such
devine Service That the Church Wardens for the Time being Do And
whereby impowered to present to him or them that shall comit or
occasion such House or Disturbance with the utmost Severity and in such Maunr.
as the Law directs and ye. Parish will indempnify him in So doing.
