This vestry was summoned by Mr Bayly upper
Churchwarden for ye Choice of Ward Officers Vizt.
Scavengers Constables Inquestmen & Comon Councill
Men

Scavengers
Mr Oliphant &
Mr Jenkins

First were putt up for Scavengers Mr Oliphant and
Mr Jenkins who were chosen accordingly

Then were putt up for Constables Mr Oliphant and Mr
Cash

Mr Cash fined for
Constables £4

Then Mr Cash desired to fyne for Constable and was
admitted paying a Fyne of four pounds

Mr Jenkins

Then Mr Jenkins was put up for Constable & Chosen
accordingly

Inquestmen
Mr Hickman Mr
Gibbs & Mr Cash

Then Mr Hickman and Mr Gibbs were putt up & chosen
for their second yeare Inquestmen, and Mr Cash was
also chosen Inquestman for his first yeare

Comon Councill Men
Mr Blackall Mr Hall
Mr Lee & Mr Bennett

Then were putt up for Comon Councill men Mr Blackall
Mr Hall Mr Lee Mr Bennett & chosen accordingly

Then Mr Churchwarden proposed to have the Water
course in the South Churchyard in ended which was put
to the vote & agreed to accordingly

Whisken to have a Gowne
as other Pish Clerks have
& left to Churchwardens
discretion

Then Mr Churchwarden acquainted the Vestry that
Miles Whiskin Parrish Clarke desired he might have a
gowne as other parish Clarkes have; which was also put to
the vote and allowed that the said miles Whiskin should< no role >
have such a gowne as the Churchwardens shall think fitt.

Att a Vestry held the 21th day of December 1702
