Snuggs Lre & the
Accidt. at PrisonResumed the further consideration of the Letter from Mr. Snuggs
addressed to the General Court and referred to the Committee; And
it being represented to the Committee by Mr. John Lane< no role > Brother
in Law to Samuel Snuggs< no role > the Contractor for the repairs & alterations
of the Prison for the Men that the said Mr. Snuggs had convened
his Creditors and is in confinement in Newgate and in a State of
Insolvency and that any attempt to compel him to perform his
Contract would at this time on that account be fruitless.

to have notice of the
failure of sd. Contractor Resolved that Matthew Sarjant< no role > and Charles Biggs< no role > who are
Sureties with him in the sum of £500 for the due performance
of the Contract be informed that the Contractor has failed in
the performance thereof and that in consequence the Committee
consider the said sum as forfeited, and expect them to pay
the same to the Steward of this Hospital on or before the 9th.
day of December next in failure of which the Clerk is direc-
-ted to proceed against them for performance of their obligation

Ordered that the Clerk forthwith write Letters to them accordingly

By the Calendar of the Prisoners there appeared to be
