to proceed forthwith to the Election of an Overseer of the [..]
for Covent Garden Precinct in this Parish for the remain
part of the year in his room, and there were thereup [..]
put in Nomination for the said office

Mr Joseph Ward< no role >
&
Mr. William Sumner< no role >

and the said William Sumner< no role > was Elected

The Vestry then proceeded to take into Consideration
Order of Vestry of this Parish made on the Twenty first
of March 1782. relative to Bastard Children, which
being read as follows (vizt.)

"Voted and Ordered that no Church Ward
"in future shall take or receive of any Person or
"Persons whomsoever any Sum or Sums of [..]
"whatsoever to release from or indempnify [..]
"such Person or Persons against the Birth
"maintenance, education or bringing up of
"Bastard Child or Children"

And the said Order of Vestry being taken into Consid [..]
A motion was made and seconded that the same
res [..] inded and upon the Question being put It [..]
Voted and Ordered accordingly And the said Or [..]
Vestry of the Twenty first day of March 1782 is [..]
this Vestry rescinded.

A motion was thereupon made and second
that no Churchwarden shall receive any monies [..]
any Person or Persons whomsoever to release or indempn [..] any
Person or Persons from or agst. the Charges or Expence
Birth Maintenance Education or bringing up of [..]
Bastard Child or Children without Consulting [..]
having the Concurrence of the Workhouse Committee
the major part of them who shall be presenta [..]
Meeting when the Churchwarden, shall apply to [..]
for such Concurrence And on the Question being

It was Voted & Ordered accordingly.
