Ship and the same being Considered and Debated

Moved that a Committee be appointed to Consider of Ways & means to
Discharge the said Debts which was agreed and Ordered And they are to Report
their Opinion in relation thereto to the Vestry

Ordered that the following Persons be the said Committee and that any five
of them be a Quorum to act (Vizt:) Mr; Deputy Pycroft Mr Richard Bridgman< no role > Mrs.

Read a Petition of Mr: Joseph King< no role > a Tenant to the Parish Complaining
of Damage done him of pulling down the Walls of the Old Church part of which
was a Fence to the Yard of his Dwelling House which he holds of this Parish &
praying to have the Same Secured and made good

Ordered that Mr: Churchwarden Grace Secure and make the same
good at the Expence of the Parish

This being the time appointed for the Choice of a Vestry Clerk in the room
of Mr; Jeremiah Bentham< no role > This name instance is in set 2192. deceased It was moved & agreed to proceed to such

Richmond Rigg< no role > severally petitioning to be chose into the said Office their Petitions

Mr: Bentham Moved that the Vestry Clerk be for the future Annually
Chosen at the nextVestry after every Xmas day And that Publick Notice thereof be
given in the Summonses for that Purpose which upon the Question being put it
was Resolved and Agreed to. Nem: Con:

Resolved and Agreed that this Election, be by holding up of Hands

Resolved and Agreed that all the Aforesaid Candidates be put up & that at
the first putting up they be Reduced to such three of them as shall appear to have
the Majority of Hands that those three be put up a Second Time & in the same
manner Reduced to two and that those two be put up a third time And the Choice
to be of such of them who shall then have the majority of Hands
