At this Vestry Joseph Taylor< no role > Esqr . Council at Law appeared at the request of severa
of the Inhabitants of the Parish and laid before them a State of the Affairs relating
to the Charity given to the Ward by the late St. Cass with regard to the Charity
School for the Establishing which Charity an Information had been brought
by the Attorny Generall in the Court of Chancery pursuant to a form [..]
order of Vestry at the Relation of the Church wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Freedom part of the Parish against the late Mr; Deputy
Valentine Brewis< no role > the only acting surviving Executor and Trustee
named in the Will of St. John and others And that the sd. Mr. Brewis
being dead the Suitabled And that there was a necessity for reviving the said Su [..]

And the Question was put whether the said Suit in Chancery for Establishing
the Charity bequeathed by the said St: John Cass to the Ward of Portsoken
should be revived and carryed on to Effect or not And it was carryed in the
Affirmative Nemine Contradicente And that the Clerk of the Vestry do proceed accordin [..]

Ordered and Agreed that a Comittee be appointed for inspecting
the management of the said Affairs And that Mr: Deputy Pycroft and the
Common Council & Churchwardens for the time being together with Mr:
Edward Holloway< no role > Mr: Brazier Mr: Fry Mr: Whalley Mr:
Haives Mr: Wellburn Mr: Faucetland Mr: Gardiner be the
Committee And that any Five of the said Committee have power to [..]
all being Summoned And that Mr: Deputy Pycroft do from time to
time Summon the said Committees And that the said Committee do make
a Report of their Proceedings to the Vestry
