Joseph Darke< no role > maketh oath That divers
Years ago he rented a house of Mr Thomas Linton< no role > (Since deced)
of the Yearly Rent or Value of Eight pounds near Great
Bandy Legg Walk in the Parish of St Saviour in Southwarke
in the County of Surry & lived therein for about the
Space of Sixteen Years & that during Such his Residence
therein he was Charged to & paid Kings Taxes for the
same & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there
That he this Deponent has not Since elsewhere rented a
house of the Yearly Rent or Value of Ten pounds or Served
any Parish office or Paid any Poors Rates or King Taxes
or done any Act to his knowledge or belief to gain a
Subsequent Settlement
