Thomas Williams< no role > maketh oath That divers Years ago
his late Father Thomas Williams< no role > a Taylor deced maketh oath
Rented a house of the Yearly Rent or Value of Twenty eight
Pounds in Great Windmill Street in the Parish of Saint James
in the City & Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex and by
Means thereof gained & a legel Settlement there And this Deponent
Saith that at the time his Said Father lived there he was Part of
his Family and was taught by his Father the Trade of a Taylor
there the he was never bound apprentice to him or to any other
Person That to his knowledge or belief his Said Father did not
afterwards do any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement That he
this Depont. never lived as a hired Servant for a year nor ever
Rented a house of the yearly Rent or Value of Ten Pounds nor
ever Served any Parish office or Paid any Poors Rates or
Kings Taxes nor to his knowledge or belief hath he done any
Act to gain a Settlement in his own right And that he hath a
wife named Elizabeth< no role > to whom he was married at the Fleet
the Day before the late Marriage Act took Place.
