Sarah Savage< no role > (the wife of William Savage< no role > who is
lately gone away from her to Sea on Board one of his
Majesties Ships of war ) maketh oath That her said husband
has informed her that he was born in Angel Court near
Nightingale Lane in the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate
in the County of Middlesex and that to her knowledge or
belief her said Husband never was an apprentice nor ever
lived as a hired Servant for a year nor ever Rented a house of
Ten Pounds a Year or Served any Parish office nor ever
Paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act
to gain a Settlement in his own right And this Deponent
Cannot in any wife Set forth any place of Settlement of her Sd.
husbands Father But this Depont. Saith that she hath been
informed by her said husbands Mother Ann Savage< no role > that she
the Said Ann Savage< no role > was born in Whitby in the County of
York and that she the Sd. Ann Savage< no role > when a Singlewoman
lived as a Servant with one Mr. Robertson a Banker in
Lombard Street London but for how long time She Continued
in such service or whether she the sd Ann Savage< no role > was ever
hired for a year she never informed this Depont. and this
Depont. Saith that She hath a Child named John< no role > Aged about
three Years the lawful Issue of this Depont. by her said husband
and that she was Married to her said husband about Twenty
Years ago at the Fleet
