John Jagwood< no role > maketh oath that divers years ago
for was hired and lived as a hires Servant by the year with one
Mr Arnold a Coin Chandler in allen Street in the Parish of
Saint James Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex at Certain
yearly Wages and Continued in such Service for Several years this
Deponent being then a Single man and by means there of as this
Deponent is advised he gained a Legal Settlement there and this
Deponent Saith that he has not since lives as a hired Servant for
the space of a year nor rented a house of the yearly rent or
Value of Ten Pounds nor hath he ever served any Parish Office
nor ever paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor done ann
act to his knowledge or belief to gain a Settlement Since his
Servitude as abovementioned and thus he hath a wife namd.
