Sarah Cross< no role > the widow of William Cross< no role > deced maketh
Oath That her Said late husband has informed her (and which
Information She be lives to be true) That he was born in
Pescott Street in the Parish of Windsor in the County of Berks
and that he also duly served his apprenticeship there with his
late Father John Cross< no role > also deced who was by Trade a Cordwainer
And by means thereof as this Depont. is advised her Said late
husband gained a legal Settlement there And this Depont
Saith that to her knowledge information or belief her Said
husband never rented a house of the yearly Rent or Value
of Ten Pounds nor served any Parish Offices nor ever
Paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor ever did any
Act to gain a Settlement subsequent to his apprenticeship
Nor hath she this Depont. done any Act to her knowledge
or belief to gain a Settlement for herself since her said
husbands Death.
