Luke Macklin< no role > maketh oath That divers Years ago
he rented a house known by the Sign of the Black horse
Alehouse in Diet Street in the Parish of St Giles in the
Fields in the County of Middx at the yearly Rent of
Sixteen Pounds & Continued in the occupation of such
House for Six Months and was Charged to & paid the Poors
Rate for the Same And by Means thereof games a legal
Settlement there And this Depont. Saith that he has not
Since rented a house of the yearly Rent or Value of
Ten Pounds or upwards nor Served any Parish office
nor Paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor to his
knowledge or belief hath he done any Act to gain a
Subsequent Settlement And that he hath a wife named
Margaret< no role > to whom he was lawfully married about
fifty years ago in the Kingdom of Ireland .
