Samuel Knott< no role > maketh oath That divers Years
ago the rented a house of the yearly Rent and Value of Twenty
Pounds next Door to the Sun Ale house in Rosemary Lane in
the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the Country
of Middlesex and Continued in the occupation of such house
for divers years & was Charged to and paid Parochial Taxes
for the Same & by Means thereof as he is advised gained a legal
Settlement in the Said Parish and this Depont. Saith that he has
not since rented a house at the yearly rent or of the yearly
Value of Ten Pounds or upwards nor served any Parish
offices or paid any Poors Rates or kings Taxes or lived as a hired
servant for a year or done any Act to his knowledge or belief
to gain a subsequent settlement
