John Grimes< no role > Singleman Maketh oath That Divers
Years ago he was bound Apprentice by Indre to his Father
James Grimes< no role > of the Parish of Stroud Warter in the
County of Glouster Cordwainer and Served the Whole
time of his Apprenticeship in the said Parish and by
Means thereof as he is advised gained a legal Settlement
there And this Depont. Saith that he has not since his
said Apprenticeship lived as a hired servant for a year
nor Rented a house of Ten Pounds a year or upwards
nor served any Parish office Nor Paid any Poors Rates
or Kings Taxes Nor to his knowledge or belief hath he
done any Act Whereby to gain a subsequent settlement
