taken on Oath before Me one of his Majesties Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middx residing in or
Near the sd Parish of St Botolph witht Aldgate this
Fifteenth Day of August 1759

This Examinant on her oath saith that about Nine Months ago one
John Marshall< no role > of the Parish of St George in the County of Middx
Labourer did Prevail with this Examinant to Suffer him to lye with
her at the house of one Mr. Grissell in Artichoake Lane in the
sd Parish of St. George And the said John Marshall< no role > had Carnal
knowledge of this Examinants Body whereby she Conceived with Child
or Children of which she now goeth with and is Pregnant And this
Examinant saith that the said Child or Children of which she now goeth
with and is Pregnant as aforesaid is or are likely to be born a bastard
or Bastards and to be Chargeable to ye sd Parish of St Botolph without
Aldgate she being Poor and not able to provide for ye same And
that the said John Marshall< no role > is the true and only father of the said Child
or Children so likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards as aforesd.
And Castly saith that this Examination is Voluntary And that she
hath not been forced or Compelled to be examined by any Person or
Persons whatsoever
