deced Maketh oath that her sd. late husband
hath informed her that about Thirty Years ago
he lived as a hired Servant by the Year with
one Mrs. Cook a Cowkeeper in the Parish
of St. John at Hackney in the County of Middx
and Continued in Such Service for Several Years
and during Such Servitude this Deponts.sd husband was
a Single Man And by Means thereof gained
a legal Settlemt. there as this Deponent is
informed and verily believes And this Deponent
Saith that her sd. late husband to her knowledge
or belief did not Since Such Service as aforesd.
rent a house of Ten Pounds by ye Year or upwards
Nor Serve any Parish offices Nor do any other
Act to gain any Subsequent Settlemt. And yt
She hath a Child Named Sarah< no role > aged about
Sixteen Years who has Never been apprentice
or a hired Servant Nor gained any Settlemt
but in right of her sd. father Thomas Smith< no role > deced
