Jane Harper< no role > the Widow of James Harper< no role >
decd. & formerly the Widow of John Waugh< no role > her
first Husband decd. maketh Oath that she was
lawfully Married to her said first Husband
John Waugh< no role > at the Parish Church of St. Botolph
Aldgate London about Eleven years ago that her
said Husband at the time of his Marriage with
her, lived in & Rented a House of Thirty Pounds
a year in Lower Eastsmd . in the Parish of St.
Botolph without Aldgate in the County of Middlesex
& was charged to and paid the Poors Rate for the
same, that he died in the said House on or about
the Tenth day of Feby. 1789 . and that she has Two
Children Namely John< no role > aged about Ten Years &
James< no role > aged about Nine Years the lawful issue
by her said Husband who have not done any Act
to gain a settlement in their own right, And
this Deponent further saith that she was
lawfully Married to the said Jas. Harper< no role > her
Second Husband at the Parish Church of St.
Botolph Aldgate aforesd. on or about the Fifth
Day of Novr. 1789 until which time she lived in
& Rented the House her former Husband Rented in
Eastsmd . aforesd. that her said last mentd. Husbd.
James Harper< no role > lived in & rented the said House
about Eight Months after his Marriage with
her as aforesd. and did not after he quitted the
Same Rent any House or Lodging of the yearly
Rent or Value of Ten Pounds or pay any Poors
Rate or Kings Tax or do any Act to her
knowledge or belief to gain a subsequent settlemt.
nor has she since her said Husbands Death done
any Act to gain a settlement in her own right,
that she has a Child named Jane< no role > aged about Four
years the lawful issue by her said last mentd. Husband
