Elizabeth Wise< no role > the Wife of Wm. Wise< no role >
of Nr 4 . Maypole Court in the Parish of Saint
Botolph without Aldgate in the said County
Cooper maketh Oath that she was lawfully
Married to her said Husband at the Parish
Church of St. Mary Magdalen Bermondsey in
the County of Surry on or about the Twenty
Second Day of April 1787 , that her said Husbd.
has informed her that he was duly bound
Apprentice by Indenture for Seven years to
his Father Wm. Wise< no role > of the Parish of St. Ebbs
in the City of Oxford Cooper , that his Father
died there before the expiration of his
Apprenticeship & he was then turned over
to his Uncle Robt. Wise< no role > of the same Parish
Cooper with whom he duly served the remainder
of his said Apprenticeship that her said Husbd.
has never Rented any House or Lodging of
the yearly Rent or Value of Ten Pounds
or done any Act to her knowledge or belief
to gain a subsequent settlement, that She
has Two Children Namely Susannah< no role > aged
about Ten Years & William< no role > aged about Two
Years the lawful issue by her said Husband
And this Deponent further saith that by
reason of her said Husband neglecting to provide
for her & her said Two Children, she has been
obliged to apply to the Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate
for Relief & has been relieved by them
accordingly
